Best Ant Killer

Hello,
I had an ant problem until quite recently (for a few month at least). The ants can all the way into the house and led their friends in as well (there were hundreds).

Killing them manually, vaccuming and hiding their scent trails with floor cleaner was not fun.

I eventually purchased the best ant killer, boric acid. I put it in front of the house and they licked it up, took it home to their ant colony and died! I never saw any more ants again (i pity the little guys but they were getting bad).

Looking forward to those pictures-- where did you buy the boric acid? We've used a pesticide chalk along their trails with really good results (it also helped with the insane beetle infestation we had). Google Dead-Fast for the one we used.

Hello Mrsrower, welcome to the forums.

Actually sorry it is boron. It was quite cheap from Kmart. Very effective they took it back to the nest and i never saw the poor guys again.

Actually I purchased some powder that seems to be similar to the chalk which works quite well against beetles and ants as well - actually any insects which maybe is not a good thing. Do you know what the active ingredient is in Dead-Fast? Also did you find it worked against the bad bugs or good as well?
