Do you know of a home made Ant killer?

Hi anyone got any home made ant killer ideas?Around 8 pm i noticed an ant on the lounge floor,got rid of it and thought nothing of it ,after that i kept noticing them reapearing,i was sat down and grabbed my can of coke and there was 2 more ants on the top of my can!Since then i have seen that they are coming from underneath the front door,ive never had this problem before,is it because of the warm muggy weather?i will get some ant killer tomorrow but i dont wont to wake up and comw downstairs with my baby to a floor full of ants,does anyone know of any home made killer i could make to keep them away,please help?!

Sprinkle Rosemary around the door - they don't like it & won't cross it (usually) - fresh is best - crush it a bit to release the scent
