Default Is my bonsai growing moss or new bonsai trees?

Okay, so I bought a tea tree bonsai, and it is doing so well and thriving, but there are these little green plants that have two leaves growing all over the base. One is really getting long, but it is taking awhile. So here are my questions:

1.) Is this moss or new bonsai?
2.) Will this cause my tree harm?
3.) Should I get rid of the green stuff?
