 growing string beans from immature seeds... possible? Likely results? Yes, I KNOW that the seeds you find in string beans when they are harvested are not yet mature. But the characters in my story don't know that! They don't know anything about gardening and there is nobody to ask. So, when they plant immature string bean seeds, will they get anything? Will the plants take longer to germinate, grow, ripen? Will they produce string beans at all? Will they be scrawny or useless? Let me know if you need more details to answer.
