do dressing rooms in clothing stores have security camera's in them?

wouldn't that be a violation of privacy? or is it legal to do that?
i didn't want to know it cause i want to steal clothes so i dont care if they wont to count my stuff thank you i want to know cause my boyfriend wanted to try something in there and we don't want to get caught on camera

However, it's quite likely that they'll have security cameras watching the ENTRANCE to the dressing rooms so that they can see what you enter with and leave with. If it appears that you leave the dressing room with less stuff than you entered with, they could become suspicious, and they'll likely keep a very close eye on you from then on.

If they see you and your boyfriend entering a dressing room together, it could raise suspicions too. And, honestly, I usually hate to throw personal opinions into threads, but why do you want to do "try something" in a public place anyway? Isn't that a little foolish?

What securityviking said is exactly true. Security cameras should not be inside the dressing room but it can be in the entrance. This is the real security and privacy.

Usually there will not be any security camera inside the dressing room in stores to protect the privacy when trying out the clothes.
but there will be security guards usually outside the dressing room to see nothing goes wrong.
but it will create suspicion if both of you enter together, and i think you dont want yourself to put in a award position infront of other customers
