| Hi, I am new here. I have been searching the web for what I am attempting to find but have not found anything that really meets what i need. Here is what I am looking for. I am strolling through my property and decide I want to fill a space in my landscape with a new plant/tree/shrub. Now which one? I would like to be able to go to a database and key in facts and have it spew forth a list of plants that would work. So for example I could search for : zone 7 partial sun height 3-5 feet color foilage yellow and i would get a list of choices that would work. or searching on any number of other fields, flowering, flower color, bloom time, etc What I have found on the web are databases that allow you to seach by name. Is this just pie in the sky, or does a site like this exist? Please help. |

| Well ... at the BeWaterWise website you can find an exhaustive list of drought tolerant plants for Southern California. Not only do these plants have a lovely bloom, but also require very little water to thrive on. Hence they can be effective for water conservation in gardens. Check them out. I'm sure you will find something that you are looking for .... |
