starter motor tehcumsuh/b&s compatability?

 starter motor tehcumsuh/b&s compatability? I have a ride on mower with a u/s starter motor . The mower is a Rally and the engine is a Tecumseh enduro 12 hp. My question is this. The starter motor looks fairly standard and I was wondering if a used one from a Briggs & Stratton engine of about the same H.P. would be compatable?      |
