How do you get rid of mouse in your house?

 How do you get rid of mouse in your house? We saw three mice in our house yesterday and took a few steps to get rid of them. I sprayed Dr. Bronner's Lavender spray everywhere because I read that mice don't like the smell of Lavender. We put down traps with peanut butter & turned down the heat to 60 degrees. I don't want to turn it lower as there have been negative degree wind chills lately and I don't want to risk the pipes freezing. Anything else we can do?      |
