garden vegetables pls help...when they are ready to eat?

| this year i have planted beetroot,broccoli,carrots and onion for the first time. but i don't know when they are ready to pluck or ready to eat,can you pls tell me the signs of these vegetables when they are ready to eat |

| most of the root vegetables that you have planted are pretty easy to tell when to pick. Watch for full vegetative growth above the ground and a globing of the root (good part) at the top of the ground which will indicate the approximate size of the vegetable that is underneath the ground still. You can move the dirt around slightly to see too. Did you mark your calander for when you planted? If so, you can check the seed packet for days to mature and figure out approximate date to pull them. Brocoli is pretty easy to tell as it is above the ground and should be developed like what you get in the store. best of luck jack
