Growing radishesFrom Gardening WikiRadish CultureThe secret of growing good Radishes consists chiefly in the observance on the part of the grower of three things: First, they should be grown on light, quick soil, second, they should be given plenty of water, and last, but by no means least, the right kind of seed should be sown. Radishes grow very quickly, and if not supplied with suffi cient moisture are likely to be pithy. Sow seeds one-half inch deep in the early spring in rows one foot apart, and the more fertile the soil, the faster they will grow. For a succession, sow every ten days throughout the season and stir the soil sufficiently to keep out the weeds. One ounce to one hundred feet of row. Eight to ten pounds per acre.
