Caladium Esculentum
Tubers increase in size annually by new growth. After frost has killed the foliage, the roots should be taken up and stored in a cellar or in a dry room free from frost; from North Carolina southward the tubers are hardy enough to withstand the winter in the open ground with the beds covered with leaves or litter.
